Originally established as the Hyundai Civil Works Company, it merged with Hyundai Construction in 1999 to form its current structure. HDEC is now a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, which acquired it in 2011. The company operates in various sectors, including civil engineering, construction, housing, and power generation, both nuclear and non-nuclear. HDEC is recognized as the first Korean construction firm to expand internationally, focusing on innovative solutions and global growth.
