The Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) is the primary electricity supplier in Israel and the sole vertically integrated electric utility. Established in 1923, the company has a rich history of over 100 years and is predominantly owned by the State of Israel. IEC is responsible for the entire electricity infrastructure in the country, including power generation, transmission, and distribution. IEC operates 15 power stations with a total capacity of approximately 10.5 GW, supplying about 51% of Israel's electricity. The company serves around 2.6 million clients, including 2.4 million households, and employs over 12,000 people.
