About JSP SUSTAINABILITY
Why work for JSP Sustainability? JSP Sustainability is an industry leading sustainable design practice based at the York Science Park. We are a comparatively small team but count many of the UK's leading FTSE 250 house builders, as well as many medium sized and small private builders as our clients. Our business has grown organically through referrals, recommendations and reputation over the past decade to the extent that at any one time we are working on many hundreds of new building projects across Britain. Working for JSP Sustainability, you will have the opportunity to work alongside many leading national developers at an exciting time as the industry transitions to a low carbon future. Exciting Future At the moment we are working alongside some of our leading clients on a number of exemplar or prototype plots, experimenting with new construction forms, materials and technologies. Very soon the industry will be compelled by the Building Regulations to construct homes to the Future Homes Standard. Over the next period we will be assisting developers in crafting the most robust specifications which can deliver significant savings in CO2 emissions but also meet customer expectations on ease of operation and low operating costs. The exemplar plots under construction will provide useful real world experience and data which will inform the conclusions of our works. Training & development. You will be assigned a mentor to help you settle in and get to know our processes and procedures from day one. During your probationary period, you will have monthly reviews to monitor your progress and ensure that any issues are identified and resolved quickly. Once you have passed your probation, you will have ongoing reviews and feedback. We have well-established in-house training programmes providing in-depth technical training and the opportunity to put this into practice on real projects from the start.
