About KMG PetroChem
KMG PetroChem is a petrochemical development company and a fully owned subsidiary of Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company, KazMunayGas. Established as KLPE LLP and rebranded in March 2023, KMG PetroChem leads significant petrochemical projects across Kazakhstan. The company is focused on gas separation and processing, notably developing the Tengiz Gas Separation Complex (GSC), which aims to recover at least 98% of ethane from dry gas. This project, in partnership with TECNIMONT, is set to be completed by the first quarter of 2029. Additionally, KMG PetroChem is working on the Silleno petrochemical complex, which will utilize gas processed at the Tengiz GSC to produce high-quality petrochemical products, including polyethylene in its second phase. These initiatives represent significant advancements in Kazakhstan's petrochemical industry.
